21st Century Ceramics in the United States and Canada
Curated by Bill Hunt, this exhibition was comprised of five hundred works by contemporary ceramists. Levine was represented with several works including the cup pictured at left entitled Meister. The venue was the Canzani Center Gallery at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio. An illustrated catalogue accompanied this show which was on view from October 11 through December 7, 2003.
Doubletake
In the tradition of trompe l'oeil, Doubletake was an exhibition of the works of contemporary artists, Gerry Bergstein, Phyllis Berman, David Brega, Wendell Castle, David Furman, Marilyn Levine, Chris Nau and Victor Spinski which was organized by the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Among the works included were Levine's ceramic works Herk's Bag, and Bob's Jacket, pictured above and left. Dates of the show were from May 11 to September 7, 2003. Subject: Object
The summer show at OK Harris Works of Art, New York opened May 31 and ran through the 6th of September except for July 19 to September 1 when the gallery was closed. Entitled Subject: Object, this was an invitational exhibition focusing on the single object as both subject and unifying theme.
